Sometimes, if you look out the corner of your eye, you might see your life zip by in a blur. You’re moving so fast with family, work, home and all sorts of responsibilities that the days just meld one into the other. Holidays go even faster, discernable only by the shape of the chocolate. But [...]

Today I ran an experiment to use Twitter for a discussion. It was an hour long and went quickly. There were excellent discussions by the participants. Here are some quick thoughts I have about the experiment.
Managing the Discussion
The discussions went in different directions than originally planned, but it was a good discussion; I didn’t want [...]

Today, at 10 am PDT, I’ll run a Twitter experiment to see how a discussion might work. Here’s information about it. I’d appreciate it if you’d jump in and participate. I think it’ll be fun, and we’ll likely learn something. Always do with these experiments. I don’t know how many will participate, but will plan [...]

There’s usability, accessibility, and readability that we’re all well aware of. I’d like to toss in one more to the mix: adaptability. By this I mean the ability to change docs on the fly to accommodate real-time actions in social media or due to user-generated content that needs to be addressed rather quickly.
How adaptable are [...]

Hashtags have long been an integral component of Twitter. They offer much: ability to sort tweets into categories, quickly find and track information for a particular topic, and customize as needed for a brief interval or long-term use.
Given the transient nature of tweets, hashtags also provide a way to capture information and review historical [...]
